How it works

From box to bar in three steps.

    Plug in the sign

    Power up the CrowPanel display. On first boot it hosts its own Wi-Fi hotspot and walks you through setup.

    Choose your mode

    Home Assistant, Standalone or Manual — a quick wizard connects the sign to your keg data (or lets you pick it by hand).

Frequently asked

Do I need Home Assistant?

No. That’s exactly what Standalone mode is for — the sign talks to PerfectDraft directly. But if you already run Home Assistant with the PerfectDraft integration, you get everything for free.

Which machines work?

PerfectDraft Pro machines work with Standalone (live data) or Home Assistant. Original, non-Pro PerfectDraft machines have no app or API — for those, Manual mode lets you pick the keg by hand.

How does the subscription reach my sign?

When you subscribe from the sign itself, it carries its own device code through checkout, so the subscription attaches to that sign automatically. You can pay with any email — there’s nothing to match up.

I have two signs — do I pay twice?

Each sign is its own subscription — billing is per device. Two signs on one machine means two subscriptions.

What’s the free trial?

Every paid mode gets a 7-day free trial with no card required, and it starts when you set up the sign. One trial per device.

Can I cancel?

Yes — plans are monthly and you can cancel any time from the billing portal. See the Terms for the full cancellation and refund policy.

What if PerfectDraft changes their API?

Your sign won’t go dark. Standalone owners can switch to Manual mode and keep using the sign while (or whether) a fix lands — that’s the reason Manual exists as a fallback.
