Terms of service
1. What See My Beer is
See My Beer is a tap-sign display for PerfectDraft machines. It runs in one of three modes — Home Assistant (free), Manual (£3/mo) and Standalone (£5/mo). It is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to PerfectDraft or Philips.
2. Subscriptions & billing
- Manual and Standalone are paid subscriptions, billed monthly in GBP.
- Every paid mode includes a 7-day free trial with no card required, which begins when you set up the sign. One trial per device.
- Payments are handled by Polar as Merchant of Record — Polar is the seller of record for the transaction and issues your receipt.
- Billing is per sign (per device).
3. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the current paid period. TODO: finalise refund policy and UK cooling-off / cancellation-rights wording with a reviewer.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t attempt to circumvent licensing, resell access, or abuse the service. TODO: expand acceptable-use terms.
5. Service reliability
See My Beer is designed never to leave a dark sign: a lapsed licence or a service outage degrades gracefully rather than bricking the device, and Standalone owners can fall back to Manual mode if the upstream PerfectDraft API changes. The service is provided on an “as is” basis without warranty of uninterrupted availability, since it depends in part on third-party systems outside our control.
6. Limitation of liability
TODO: standard limitation-of-liability clause, reviewed for UK consumer law.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected here with a revised date. TODO: define change-notification approach.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. TODO: confirm jurisdiction.
9. Contact
TODO: add the contact / support route (helpdesk not yet live).
